Obliterate

I hate to be a pedant, but in the case of Hillary's "obliteration" comment, it may be valuable to take a look at the dictionary definition of the word.

Obliterate does not mean "massive retaliation". It means "eradication".
1. To do away with completely so as to leave no trace. See Synonyms at abolish. 2. To wipe out, rub off, or erase (writing or other markings). 3. Medicine To remove completely (a body organ or part), as by surgery, disease, or radiation.

Let's be real: the easiest, and most cost-effective way to obliterate a country (or geographic region) is through the use of nuclear weapons. Let's just be straight about that. So... Hillary advocates nuking Iran if they attack Isreal. SO THAT'S SCARY!

I'm not sure someone with that kind of judgment should be picking up the phone at 3:00am.

Of course, I don't think that Hillary really means what she says about "obliteration". I believe that she believes that most American voters can't think more than one step ahead in the strategy game.

I hope she's wrong.
